The Agnese Nelms Haury Program was established in 2014 and seeks to honor the life and work of Mrs. Agnese Nelms Haury. The Program is funded by a bequest from Mrs. Haury’s trust and is overseen by a Donor Advised Fund Board. The Resilience Graduate Research Awards Program is designed and administered by the Haury Program to strengthen the academic pathways for students and scholars of Tribal Resilience, with an emphasis energy, water and food, and on University of Arizona programs and people devoted to education, research, and outreach associated with federally-recognized tribes. Graduate Student Matthew Tafoya received the 2025 Haury Program Resilience Graduate Research Award. This Program/Award will focus on supporting education, research, and outreach that promote resilience goals of federally-recognized tribes.
