Nancy Benjamin Kwoh Undergraduate Scholarship in American Indian Studies

Amount: $5,000
Eligibility: American Indian Studies Undergraduate Majors
Funding Category: Scholarship Award

The Nancy Benjamin Kwoh Undergraduate Scholarship is intended for full time undergraduate students majoring in American Indian Studies with a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrated financial need.

A scholarship review committee in American Indian Studies comprised of Faculty and Staff will review and select recipients.

Funding Category: Travel Fund

Mimi's Travel Scholarship Fund encourages and provides support for travel to Latin America for any of the following: to attend professional meetings, conferences, and symposia; to visit and carry out research in archives and museums; to meet with Latin American colleagues, researchers, and those in Native organizations, and to carry out research. This travel must be directly related to the student's educational development and work in AIS.

Arizona Native Scholars Grant

This tuition grant is an institutional grant program that ensures the tuition, mandatory fees, and college fee are covered for Native, Arizona Resident, Undergraduate students seeking their first Bachelor’s degree. This can be awarded for up to four years (eight consecutive semesters).

Federal Work Study is a federally-subsidized financial aid program that provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses.

Federal Pell Grants are free government money given to students who have high financial needs, and does not need to be paid back. Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree. The FAFSA must be completed to qualify for a Pell Grant.

Western Undergraduate Exchange

Founded in 1987, the WUE is a regional tuition savings agreement administered by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). WUE enables eligible students to enroll as nonresidents in 170 participating public colleges and universities and pay 150% (or less) of the enrolling institution’s resident tuition.
